Risk & Resilience

GreenAnt CEO Mario Simmaco presents at the 2025 Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP) conference

A word from our founder, Mario

GreenAnt CEO Mario Simmaco

Dear Friends,

June kept us moving, literally and figuratively. I had the chance to represent GreenAnt at InsurTech Insights NYC, where the conversations only reinforced how urgently the insurance and reinsurance community is thinking about parametric product design and climate risk analytics. From there, it was on to California for a series of meetings with our investors, both current and prospective, whose continued confidence in GreenAnt means a great deal to our team.

We also began the curriculum for the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge in earnest this month, and I am looking forward to sharing what we learn as we move through the program.

Behind the scenes, June brought a number of new partnerships and contract signings that we are not quite ready to announce, but I promise they are worth the wait.

Thank you, as always, for being part of this journey with us.

Warm regards,

Mario Edoardo Simmaco

CEO

What has GreenAnt been up to recently?

  • GreenAnt Advances in Global Resilience Challenge

GreenAnt has been selected to participate in the Leading Cities and QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge, one of just 100 solutions chosen from a field of more than 950 applicants spanning 75+ countries. The program curriculum, which kicked off this month, centers on public-private partnership development, city deployment strategy, and scaling climate resilience solutions in urban environments, positioning GreenAnt alongside a global cohort of innovators tackling similar challenges.

  • This recognition reflects the growing relevance of GreenAnt's approach to flood risk analytics as cities and their partners look for deployable, site-specific solutions rather than broad regional models.

  • Mario Represents GreenAnt at Insurtech Insights NYC

GreenAnt CEO Mario Simmaco represented the company at Insurtech Insights NYC in June, engaging with the insurance and reinsurance community on the intersection of climate risk analytics and parametric product design. Conversations centered on how site-specific flood threshold data can sharpen the accuracy of parametric insurance products and reduce basis risk, a persistent challenge for insurers and policyholders alike.

The event offered a chance to connect with peers and prospective partners shaping the next generation of climate risk products, reinforcing GreenAnt's position at the center of these conversations.

  • Mario Meets with Investors in California

Later in June, Mario traveled to California for a series of meetings with existing and prospective investors. These conversations focused on GreenAnt's continued growth trajectory and the broader opportunity for climate risk analytics as cities, insurers, and public sector partners increasingly prioritize resilience infrastructure.

The trip underscored strong investor interest in GreenAnt's approach as the company continues to scale its presence in the parametric insurance and anticipatory action space.

  • New Partnerships in the Works — Stay Tuned

June brought a number of contract signings and project kickoffs for GreenAnt, details of which we're not quite ready to share publicly just yet. What we can say: Our client and partnership pipeline continues to grow, and we're excited for the opportunity to showcase this new work in the coming months.

    Stay tuned for more.
